21things4students.net project was created as an educational and online resource to help students improve their technology proficiency as they prepare for success in the 21st century. This project was specifically developed to provide districts and classroom teachers with resources to help students meet or exceed the 8th grade technology proficiency requirements in Michigan. It provide project-based activities which address the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S), and the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) as well as areas of the Framework for 21st Century Learning identified by the Partnership For 21st Century Skills.

The 21 Things for Educators project was created to provide "Just in Time" training through an online interface for K-12 educators based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T) These standards are the basic technology skills every educator should possess. In the process, educators will develop their own skills and discover what students need in order to meet the NETS for Students, as well as online course requirement.
Participants who fulfill all of the requirements have the opportunity to earn SCECH's or college credit.


21 Things for the 21st Century Administrator is a unique self-paced professional development opportunity for administrators desiring to update their educational technology skills to met the National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators(NETS-A).  There are 5 NETS-A standards, each with a Capstone activity to complete in the areas of Visional Leadership, Digital Age Learning Culture, Excellence in Professional Practice, Systemic Improvement, and Digital Citizenship.  Each standard entails learning several technology skills using the tutorials and virtual sessions provided to complete the Capstone activities.
Participants who fulfill all of the requirements have the opportunity to earn SCECH's or college credit.
